Hi,

and thanks for Tera Term! It would help me if the file selector in File/Send file would accept files per drag and drop for sending (*).

Why does it matter to me? After initializing the receiving side for a file transfer I need to send a file (not always the same) shortly thereafter. Often I'm not quick enough to walk through the directory tree within the timeout. It would help if I could just drag and drop a file directly from a file browser into the file selector.

(*) the file selector accepts a file (in its directory area) but instead of sending it it is stored in the selected directory.

If I specify to login with key-file, then it is possible to leave the username blank. The problem is that the ongoing login fails and the user name cannot be entered any more.

So it would be great when I specify the keyfile-login:

- that the password-field would be greyed out (disabled) - the username is mandatory - and in case of failure there would only appear a message (no more tests to input password, cause the username cannot be changed).

THE benefit of this is more transparency for the user when he is not that used to this kind of login method. (I did cost me several hours of struggeling to figure out where my problem was and rule out some option.)

I develop software for OMAP4460 and use STLabs USB to serial device with PL2303 chip. Baud rate 115200. It works fine but sometimes when I output a lot of data TeraTerm loses sync with data sent and I see gibberish on the screen, yet all characters are still ASCII, their position is wrong. I tried to enable Xon/Xoff control but it doesn't help. I do NOT see the same problem on putty. Tera Term version is 4.79, but it does happen on the previous versions as well.

I click the "Tera Term" on the starup menu, and then the "New Connection" dialog is shown.
Specify Serial, port COM1
From menu launch: serial port setup "Setup"/"Serial port"
Baud rate:115200
Data; 8bit
Parity:none
Stop : 1bit
Flow control: hardware
-> Accept changes ( press "OK")
//Start log:
From menu launch log: "File\log"
provide a new log file name ( ex: toto.bin)
In option panel : select Binary, unselect append
-> Accept changes (press "OK" )
A second windows appears named: "Tera Term: Log"
receive 400kB
(use a device which send a known pattern or connect a cable between COM1 & COM2 and send file to COM2)
In windows "Tera Term: Log", press "Pause"
In windows "Tera Term: Log", press "Close"

Compare data sent to log(toto.bin).
-> some data is missing in log file

I have nearly the same issue here. I'm using TeraTerm 4.8.5 under Windows 7 (64 bit). Whenever I block the TeraTerm window by moving with the mouse, the hardware flow control becomes active and the log file loses a few characters. I have verified that the computer sending the data really stops the transmission if RTS goes high, still the TeraTerm log loses characters. If I don't block the TeraTerm main window (so the RTS/CTS lines do not get active) , the log file is completely OK also with binary files.

I have a device called AirConsole (www.get-console.com/airconsole)that provides a Serial Com Port via WiFi.

This unit supports Telnet RFC 2217 and it would be awsome to have the ability to use it with Tera Term!

It presents the Com Port at 192.168.10.1:3696.

IT Pro's unite! No need to fight with cables when working with Router's etc.....

(File)-(Log)でカレントディレクトリ以外にログを保存すると、Tera Termのカレントディレクトリが変更されます。内部的にはttpfileを使っているのでこうなるのは理解できますが、この動きは望ましいでしょうか。

それとも、なにをしたらカレントディレクトリが変更されるのか、ドキュメントにまとめられていればよいでしょうか。

# ドキュメント内で「カレントディレクトリ」と「現在のディレクトリ」の表記揺れがありますね。

”Tera Term 4.63 より行単位送信(Line at a time)モードに対応しました。 telnetやssh接続以外での接続時は……行単位送信モードが有効になります。” と理解しているのですが、シリアル通信で使ったときに、文字単位送信モードで動いています。設定ファイルで、EnableLineMode=on　になっています。
Line at a time mode / Character at a time mode はTELNETプロトコルの物なので、TCP/IP接続のみ適用となります。
シリアル通信については、文字単位送信モードが仕様でしょうか？　行単位送信モードに設定にすることはできるのでしょうか？

EUC-JP 接続では発生せず UTF-8 接続で再現するようなのですが、スクロールしたあとに文字の一部が残ります。

添付のログを再生したとき最後に「う」の右半分が残って見えます。

送っている側の問題かもしれませんが、なにかわかるでしょうか。

UnicodeToDecSpMappingの値から1を引いてDEC特殊文字への変換を行わないようにしてみるとどうなりますか?

It would be nice to have keyboard shortcuts for some of the items under the Edit menu that today do not have shortcuts. These include "Select all", "Clear Screen", "CLear Buffer".

You can call a menu item with type a key after displaying "Edit" menu. When you disable the meta key, "Alt-E a" calls "Select all".

Xmodem send the first packet twice if more the one NAK was received before the transfer begins. Some tickets describes this issue. Looks like in the receive buffer a left NAK is inside.

Tera TermでIPMI SOLをサポートしたい。

IPMI SOLとは、サーバのシリアルコンソールをリモートで使うことができる技術。
IPMI v2.0 rev.1.1でIPv6がサポートされた。

現状、WindowsからIPMI SOL使うには、「Tera Term(CygTerm) + IPMItool」の組み合わせがベストだが、

IPMItoolをコマンドプロンプトで動かすこともできるが、コマンドプロンプトがエスケープシーケンスを解釈できないので、
画面表示がまともにできない。

実装するなら、プラグイン形式かな。

こんにちは、お世話になっております。

下記ASCII環境で、次のエラーメッセージが、2013.11ごろから頻発するようになりました。

都度、「OK」を押せば良いのですが、頻度が多いことや、他のsshクライアントでは（おそらく同様の状況でも）操作は不要であることから、Teratermでも操作不要に変更頂けないでしょうか。

・該当すると思われる、ユーザ操作を求める箇所　http://sourceforge.jp/projects/ttssh2/scm/svn/blobs/head/tags/teraterm-4_82/ttssh2/ttxssh/fwd.c

1845行目、notify_nonfatal_error(pvar, pvar->ts->UIMsg);　

　これをコメントアウトしても、実害は無いのではないでしょうか。　見当違いでしたら、悪しからず。

Faintは単純にFaint色を作って使う方法だと他の色との組み合わせじに問題がでる。

現在の色からFaintっぽく見える見える色を計算して使うなどした方がいいかも。

DECSACE が未実装
DECSACE の状態に関わらず常に矩形領域が対象になる (DECSACE 2相当)

Hi,

I am acquiring data at a baud rate of 115200. I am acquiring through three separate serial to usb connections into one laptop. Sometimes, the data seen in the terminal window will become completely unreadable and won't be stored in columns anymore. The logged data will appear identical as well. Over time, the data will eventually appear normal again and in distinct columns. Similarly, the logged data will be look identical and normal compared to the terminal window. This is in TeraTerm v4.65

SCPである程度大きなファイル（条件不明ですが、数十MB～するような気がします）をReceiveすると、CPU100%で応答なしになります。調査用に何が必要でしょうか。

Hi,

When using TeraTerm to monitor and control a serial device, a "DUMB Terminal" terminal emulation option would be nice. This would simply print any incoming printable text to the window, and place some "blank or space or non text" character for any bytes of incoming data that are not printable.

Currently when using this program to debug code, with a VT-100 terminal, some long binary data streams will result in the terminal sending characters back to the target device, which in turn has unintended results on the target device.
